6th Annual RI Signature Chefs Auction on Nov. 14

WARWICK, Rhode Island – November 5, 2007 – Eleven Forty Nine Restaurant will participate in the 6th Annual March of Dimes Signature Chefs Auction on November 14. Executive Chef Jules Ramos will feature some of Eleven Forty Nine’s most celebrated seafood and steak selections during the annual auction.
 
The event will be held on Nov. 14 at 6 p.m. at the Culinary Archives and Museum at Johnson & Wales University in Providence. The March of Dimes established the event to recognize chefs and restaurants throughout Rhode Island for their innovative leadership in providing creative and exceptional cuisine. Proceeds from the live auction and silent auction go toward the March of Dimes Prematurity Campaign.

Executive Chef Ramos brings more than 20 years of experience to Eleven Forty Nine, specializing in Rhode Island cuisine. The acclaimed chef has served as featured guest chef at The Beard House in New York and was awarded the Medal of Excellence from the American Culinary Federation, New England Chapter. Chef Ramos is affiliated with a number of professional culinary organizations including the Les Amis d’Escoffier Society of New England, Joseph Donon Chapter and James Beard Foundation.
Named for its famed address on the East Greenwich and Warwick line at 1149 Division Street, Eleven Forty Nine gives guests a distinctive city-dining experience in sophisticated suburban surroundings.
